Nivati Beach and Fort
Nivati beach and Nivti fort situated around 9 km from Bhogwe beach and famous tourist attractions. This Nivati fort is located on the hill of the Nivati village. Shivaji Maharaj built this fort after the Sindhudurg fort which was later captured by Sawant of Sawantwadi. It uses to takes around 1 hour to take a tour of the fort. From the fort, you can see a Light House in the mid-sea.
Tarkarli is a famous beach for watersports and scuba diving. It is located around 20km from the Bhogwe beach.
Sindhudurg fort was built by Shivaji Maharaj in the 17th century to build control over the sea and to curb the rise of Siddis of Janjira fort. The fort also has temples of Lord Hanuman, Goddess Bhavani, and Jarimari Devi. The fort is open from 10 am to 5:30 pm so plan your visit accordingly.
