Located in Sangameshwar Subdivisuin in Ratnagiri district Maharashtra – Marleshwar is popularly known for its Cave Shiva Temple. Marleshwar by Road
Marleshwar is at a distance of 18km from Devrukh and 30km for Sangameshwar. Tourists are required to reach Maral village, which is at distance of 14km from Devrukh. After that there is a 3km motorway and for the last 1km distance no transport is available and tourists are required to travel on foot.
Direct state transport buses from Marleshwar to Devrukh are also available.
Marleshwar can be directly reached from Mumbai by road and the distance is around 336km. Tourists can regularly reach Ratnagiri as it is connected to most major Maharashtra cities by road and state transport corporation buses are regularly available. Distance from Pune to Ratnagiri by road 289 km while it is at a distance of 677km from Hyderabad and 749km from Bangalore.
From Ratnagiri, Devrukh can be easily reached by state transport buses and private taxis.
Marleshwar By Train
Ratnagiri is the neaest railhead to Marleshwar which is connected with the rest of the country by train through the Mumbai terminal. Regular express trains between Mumbai and Ratnagiri are available while there are also regular direct trains from Pune, Mangalore and Delhi. It takes around 6hrs to reach Ratnagiri by train from Mumbai while the time for travelling by train from Pune is around 8 hours.
Marleshwar By Air
Ratnagiri itself has a small domestic airport and has regular flights to Mumbai and Pune. From Ratnagiri airport Devrukh can be easily reached by state transport buses and from Devrukh Marleshwar is only at a distance of 18km.
