Sinhagad: A Must Place To Visit
I Sinhagad Fort is located approximately 30 kilometers southwest of Pune in India. I Sinhagad Fort is located at a distance of 25 km from Pune. I have been regarded as one of the most popular and famous picnic spots. I am situated on a hill at an altitude of 700 m above the sea level. Due to my height, I have also become as a popular trekking destination for the tourist.
I Sinhagad Fort have a long historical journey. I was once the place of the historic battle where Tanaji Malusare recaptured me. I still have samadhi of Tanaji Malusare and Rajaram, Shivaji’s younger son inside me. The famous battle of Singhagad was also fought at me.
Because of my long historical events tourists visit me every year and it has made me a popular weekend destination. In addition to this, now I am also used by the Defense Academy for the training purposes.
Throughout the year I have cool and pleasant weather that is why more and more people visit me. I always ask tourists to visit me in the mid of the year because at that time they can enjoy the rainfall also. I receive adequate rainfall throughout the year. It is fun visiting me.

Its very sad to see the Sinhagad Fort in bad condition. Our government should pay some attention to this treasure
