The old Mumba Devi Temple was built in 1675 in Bori Bunder. This temple was destroyed, and the current temple was built in 1737 in Zaveri Bazaar of Bhuleshwar. This temple houses an ancient idol of Mumba Devi (an eight-armed Goddess) who is worshipped via the Dravidians and Koli fishermen.

Though Mumbai is visited by corporate travellers from all over the world throughout the year, but the best time to visit Mumbai by leisure travellers is the time between the end of monsoons and the onset of summers – that is during the months of September to March. Monsoon is pretty heavy, almost every year and it might not be a good idea for tourists to come and visit me during that time of the year.
