Elephanta caves are situated on the Elephanta island, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. To reach Elephanta caves, one has to go to the Gateway of India, from where there are ferry or boat facilities available. It is a one hour boat ride by sea.

Colaba:

Colaba is one of the tourists center and the place of many other attractions like the Gateway of India, different types of museums, shops and vendors centers. Coloba is a crowded place and is considered as one of the must visit place when you visit Mumbai.

Gateway of India:

An iconic landmark, the Gateway of India; was built in 1942 and is located at the tip of Apollo Bunder. The Gateway of India is one of the most prime attractions to the visitors.

Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya:

One must visit to Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya which has another name as the “Prince of Wales Museum”. The museum is one of the best and beautiful art and history museums in India. The museum has retained the ancient history of the Indian culture.

Flora Fountain:

Situated at the south Mumbai, Flora Fountain was built in 1864. The square where the Flora Fountain was found is named as Hutatma Chowk. Flora Fountain was originally called as Sir Bartle Frere; it was renamed as Flora Fountain after the Governor of Mumbai. Flora Fountain is constructed of limestone and depicts the Roman goddess Flora.

National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai:

National Gallery of Modern Art is also considered as one of the best tourists attractions in the Mumbai. It conducts various exhibitions and art collections on the regular basis, created by the famous artists.

Jehangir Art Gallery:

Jehangir Art Gallery is the one of the famous and best Art Galleries in Mumbai. The art gallery hosts regular exhibitions of the upcoming artists. Even though comparatively, it is a small gallery, you get to buy beautiful paintings from the local artists out there.

Marine Drive:

Marine Drive is one of the prime attractions to the visitors since it is a beautiful walk point and sunset point; that is situated at the coast. The place is a feast for walk lovers; especially in the evening. The view at the Marine drive in the night is too awesome and hence it is one of the popular places in the Mumbai located at around 1.8 kms from the Gateway of India.
