How to Reach Karjat by Road

Raigad district is well connected with the rest of the state by national and state highways like Pune highway, Nasik Highway, Goa Highway, and Mumbai Pune expressway. Karjat is only at a distance of 60kmfrm Mumbai and can be easily reached by Mumbai Pune Expressway.

Pune is at a distance of 99km from Karjat and can be easily reached in around two hours of time. Reaching Karjat from other prominent towns is also not a problem. The state and national highways are maintained in excellent condition and driving on these roads can truly be an immensely pleasurable experience.

How to Reach Karjat from Mumbai by Road: To travel from Mumbai to Karjat there are two routes. The first route is 63 KM from Sion Panvel Expressway. From Panvel head towards Shedung – Bhokarpada – Chowk. Take a left turn on Karjat Chowk road and reach Karjat Hill Station.

Another route to reach Karjat is from Eastern Express Highway and the distance is around 91 KM. Through this highway head towards Thane – Bhiwandi – Ambarnath – Badlapur – Vangani – Neral – Karjat.

How to Reach Karjat from Pune by Road: To travel from Pune to Karjat head towards Aundh – Baner and take the Mumbai Pune Expressway till Khopoli. From Khopoli use Karjat Khopoli Road and head towards Talawali – Nangurle – Karjat.

How to Reach Karjat from Nashik by Road: To travel from Nashik to Karjat head towards Viholi – Khambale – Igatpuri – Kasara Budruk – Atgaon – Shahapur. From Shahapur head towards Murbad – Sasane – Pohi – Neral – Bekare – Karjat.

How to Reach Karjat by Train

Karjat Train Track

Karjat is a local railway station and there are trains running from Mumbai to CST every 30 minutes. The first train for Karjat starts at 4:15 am from CST and last train at 12:43. From Local trains, it takes around 2 to 3 hours to reach Karjat from CST.

There are around 16 direct trains from Mumbai and it takes around 20 mins to reach Karjat. There are also direct trains for Kajrat from Pune and trains from Pune take around one and the half-hour to reach Karjat.

Pragati Express, Deccan Queen, or Koyna Express is some of the trains that you can take from Pune to reach Karjat. There are 29 direct trains between Pune and Karjat.

How to Reach Karjat by Air

Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai at a distance of 66km from the center of Karjat is the nearest international airport which is connected with all major Indian cities and also in abroad. Pune Airport is another airport located at a distance of 106km can also be used by the tourists. On reaching Pune or Mumbai by air tourist can travel either by road or by train as per their individual convenience for both ways Karjat can be reached quickly and conveniently.
