Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is located at Baramati, in Pune district, Maharashtra, India. This sanctuary is situated at about 72 kms from Pune and 35 kms from Daund. This is comparatively a small sanctuary and it is located off Pune-Solapur highway. The animal attractions at the sanctuary are Rabbits, Chikara i.e Hiran, big eagle, Wolf, Indian Fox and also different varieties of birds. Hence this sanctuary is also amazing for the bird watching.

The Sanctuary covers 5.14 Sq.Kms of area. The Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary has beautiful grasslands and also the desert areas of India. This sanctuary is considered to be one of the attractions near Pune.

How to Reach Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary by Road:

Since the Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is located near Pune and on Pune-Solapur Road, you may take this route to reach if going by the own cars. If you want to go by bus, then you may get a ST (MSRTC) bus for Supe from Pune Swargate. The Sanctuary is located within 1 km from the Supe.

How to Reach Mayureshwar from Pune: To go from Pune to Mayureshwar head towards Hadapsar – Loni Kalbhor – Kunjirwadi – Sortapwadi Phatha – Kasurdi – Bhandgaon. Take a right turn from Kdeagaon and head towards Supe – Mayureshwar.

How to Reach Mayureshwar from Mumbai: To go from Mumbai to Mayureshwar head towards Pune from Mumbai-Pune expressway and use above route from Pune to reach Mayureshwar.

How to Reach Mayureshwar from Satara: To go from Satara to Mayureshwar head towards Rewadi – Wathar – Tadawale S. Wagholi – Koparde – Nira – Murti – Morgaon – Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary.
