Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary is located at the Roha and Murud Talukas in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. This sanctuary was created in 1986 and it is located at 140 kms from Mumbai. The Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary covers the total area of about 69 sq. kms. The best time to visit this Sanctuary is between November to March.

Alibaug Beach:
Alibaug is one of the famous hill stations in the Maharashtra and it is situated at about 28 kms from the phansad Wildlife Sanctuary. Kihim & Mandwa Beach:
Kihim and Mandwa are also considered as one of the best beaches and the place is located at about 10 kms from Mumbai. At Kihim, visitors get a very pleasant pollution free environment because of the dense coconut trees; where Mandwa has a serene atmosphere and climate that attracts visitors and it is a perfect place to spend some quality time away from the crowd.
Murud Janjira:
Murud Janjira is a very wonderful fort that is situated at the coastal village of Murud and it is considered as one of the strongest marine forts in India. The Murud Janjira fort is constructed deep in the water and there are many historical places to see inside the fort. There are boats available that take visitors to the Murud Janjira fort.
Shriwardhan – Harihareshwar Beach:
Shriwardhan – Harihareshwar is a cleanest, beautiful and calm beach. This is a place of soft sands, cool winds and the beautiful inviting water and hence it is a favorite place to beach lovers. Visitors may enjoy here horse riding as well.
Raigad Fort:
Raigad fort is situated little far from the Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary at around 99 kms distance, but it is a worth visiting place. Raigad fort was the capital of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This is the place where Shivaji Maharaj was crowned in 1674 AD and where he took his last breath in 1680.
Revdanda Beach:
Revdanda is also a beautiful beach to visit nearby. The beach is a very calm and peaceful place and is a favorite place for the visitors who love to spend their time at a quiet place.
