Places to Visit at Yawal Wildlife Sanctuary

Located in the Yawal Tehsil, in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra, India; the Yawal Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in the Maharashtra. It is situated at the banks of the Anner and Manjar rivers and at the border of Madhya Pradesh covering 178 sq.km of area. There are many important attractions at the sanctuary including Blue Bull, Wild Dogs, Flying Squirrels, Leopards etc.

There are many attractive and must visit places near Yawal Wildlife Sanctuary:

Sri Padmalaya:

The Sri Padmalaya is located at the top of the hill. This peeth is considered as the half peeth, among the two and a half Shree Ganpati Peeths in India, which is called as the Padmalaya Kshetra. There are two idols of the Lord Ganpati; one of which is having its trunk on the left side and other on the right side. It is believed that the Ganpati idol with trunk on the right side is very strict. On the main temple, there are many small temples on all the sides.

Manudevi Temple:

Shree Manudevi temple is situated at the north side of Satpura hills. Devotees in a large number visit this place every year and hence this is a very renowned religious place in the Maharashtra. The surrounding area of the temple has green forests and thus this is a very beautiful place.

Parola Fort:

Parola is a huge fort to visit nearby which was built in 1727 and it is believed that this fort belongs to the father of great Jhaasi ki Rani, Laxmibai. The size of the fort is about 160 Sq.meters.

Swinging Towers of Farkande:

Swinging towers are located on the bank of Utawadi River and they are located at 16 kms from the Erandol. These towers are one of the best examples of the ancient and old techniques of the construction and the towers are around 250 years old. The Swimming towers are around 15 meters long.

Unapdev Hot Springs:

The word “Unap” means hot water an these hot springs have permanent natural source of hot water and an additional amazing point is this hot water flows throughout the year including the hot summer, from a structure in the shape of a cow’s mouth and hence this place in Jalgaon district is one of the prime attractions for the visitors. The Unapdev is located at a distance of 25 kms from Chopda city and 4 kms from Adavad.
