Umbrella Falls Bhandardara, Igatpuri
The Umbrella Falls and Randhwa Falls do give peace of mind once we are below the place. You could find them really fully active during the monsoon when cool water flows from the top to the bottom.
Arthur Lake Bhandardara, Igatpuri
A few km from Igatpuri is Arthurs Lake. It is formed by the Pravara River in the Bhandardara region. A lot of people do come down and click pictures so that it can remain as memorable during a lifetime.
Shirdi Saibaba Temple, Shirdi
Close to Igaturi is the Shirdi town where you get to visit the Shirdi Saibaba Temple. Also, there is the burial of Sai Baba near the temple. There are a lot of stories from the time Sai Baba came to Shirdi till his death. It is now known as an international pilgrim center for devotees of Sai Baba.
Camel Valley, Igatpuri
Other places to visit at Igatpuri which is on the route is the Camel Valley. The valley is of 100 feet and is formed by monsoon waters. It is regarded as one of the natural wonders of the people. Very close to this is the Bhatsa River Valley. The valley has its own beauty and is a picturesque spot as it is formed by rocks due the river running through it.
Tringalwadi Fort, Igatpuri
Tringalwadi Fort cannot be missed. Trekking to this fort is one of the not to be missed activity. It is an adventure for the trekkers to view the top of the Kalsubai mountain range. The long large number of mountains does make trekking an exciting too. At the top of the fort is the Lord Hanuman temple too.
Vipassana Kendra, Igatpuri
Igatpuri is famous for its ancient meditation courses known as Vipassana. You could even find a Vipassana Academy namely Vipassana International Academy where people from different parts of the world come and attend a month course.
The course does help to relieve you from mental tension and pressure that you could be having when you are busy with your work in the city. Dhammagiri Math Meditation Centre also offers a Vipassana course. The Golden Pagoda is a highlight at Dhammagiri at Igatrpuri.
Ghantadevi Temple, Igatpuri
One of the other places to see at Igatpuri is the Ghantadevi temple which is dedicated to Goddess Ghantadevi. It is said that the Goddess is the protector of the Ghat which is here. The temple is basically 3 km away from the city and you can use roads to reach the place.
It is not difficult to reach Igatpuri. You can reach here by train or by busses. Advance booking can be done and even you can reach the place as a group of tourists as many people do. It is definitely worth visiting this place and explore the places and history associated with it.
