Kailasa temple is located at about 30 kms from the Aurangabad city and this cave temple is one of the famous temple in the Maharashtra state. There are many places to visit near to Kailasa temple.



Ellora Caves:

Ellora Caves is a group of total 34 caves and beautiful rock-cut temples. Ellora caves are one of the prime attractions to the visitors near the Aurangabad. The climate at these caves is very pleasant in the monsoons.

Ajanta Caves:

Ajanta Caves are located at 107 kms from Aurangabad and these caves are one of the popular monuments in the world. Bibi Ka Maqbara:

Bibi ka Maqbara is situated at around 5 kms from Aurangabad and this was built by Aurangazeb’s son, Prince Azam. This is a small version of the Tajmahal, one of the 7 wonders of the world. Prince Azam built this monument in the memory of his mother; Begum Rabia Durani.

Pitalkhora Caves:

Pitalkhora caves are located at around 25 kms from Kannad; near to Aurangabad. There are total 14 buddhist caves and they have their roots back in the 2nd century BC.

Devgiri Fort:

Devgiri Fort is situated in the village of Daulat and also known as Daulatabad fort. This is a very huge and massive fort that attracts visitors. It is at a distance of half an hour from the Aurangabad. This fort was built by the king Bhillam and it was for the best defense to the rulers.

Grishneshwar Temple:

Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga temple is located at around 30 kms from the Kailasa temple. It is the oldest jyotirlinga and considered as one of the prime, biggest and best Hindu temples.

Bani Begum Bagh:

Bani Begum Bagh is a beautiful garden located at 24 kms from Kailasa temple and this is a very calm and peaceful place. This garden was created by the grandson of Aurangzeb in the memory of his wife, Bani Begum; and hence the name Bani Begum Bagh.

Khuldabad:

Khuldabad is a holy shrine for muslims and it is located at about 17 kms from the Aurangabad city. The important structures around the Khuldabad are Aurangzeb’s Tomb, Azam Shah’s and his wife’s tombs, Dargah of Malik Akbar, Tomb of Tana Shah, Zain-ud-din’s Dargah etc. The place is surrounded by wonderful mountains.
