The British discovered most of the popular and famous hill stations in Maharastra, during their colonial rule. They found lush green landscapes a cool invitation during the scorching summer months. Although their rule ended several decades ago, the beauty and the glory of Maharashtra hill stations, continue to flourish. The Western Ghats, which form a part of it’s Sahyadri range, offers numerous beautiful hill stations.

Most of the hill stations in Maharashtra are situated in Sahyadri mountain ranges. Some of these hill stations are at very remote locations in the heart of jungle. You have covered famous hill stations. However there are many such hill stations in Maharashtra state which are beautiful and not explored by tourists. Such hill stations are famous in the local area only. You should try to cover these locations too.

I have visited Konkan in this vacation with my family and found many unexplored hills. These hill stations are so beautiful that you would lost yourself in its beauty. Maharashtra government should take some efforts and develop some of these hill stations into tourist places.
